Carolyn Ferraro
Carolyn Ferraro is a B.F.A. graduate of Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University. In summer 2009, she was selected as one of 32 students worldwide to participate in the NYU Tisch School of the Arts' Summer Musical Theatre Program at CAP21. Carolyn has performed at the Joyce Theater (NYC), SummerStage in Central Park (NYC), Aliey Citigroup Theater (NYC), and NJPAC (Newark) with the New Jersey Dance Theater Ensemble just to name a few. She has also performed in the New Jersey Ballet’s annual production of The Nutcracker at the Paper Mill Playhouse, Kiss Me, Kate at NJPAC (Newark), and has most recently been seen in a tour of Smokey Joe's Cafe with New Jersey Youth Theater/NJPAC. Carolyn also just released her debut single, "Wake Up" on iTunes, and is currently working on her EP. Along with her dancing, singing, songwriting, and acting, Carolyn has been a freelance model for the past six years, and is an official Paradise Bikini model. Her most recent credits include WOW Creations Emmy's Gifting Suite in September of 2012, and WOW Creations Oscars Gifting Suite in February of 2013. Carolyn is also a journalist for Social Magazine that you can purchase at your local newsstands. Carolyn will continue to follow her dreams, and is inspired to keep creating and exploring.
Ariana Crowder
Ariana Crowder is a Finalist of the Hit TV Show "So You Think You Can Dance", Ariana has over 15 years of training from some of the world renowned teachers in the industry from Broadway Dance Center, FUNKtion Dance Complex, Pulse and MoHH. Ariana has danced for artist/companies such as Beyonce, Chris Brown, Mario, 21st Century Fox, NBC, MTV, Fox, VH1, just to name a few. Ariana is very passionate of teaching dance and authentic technique to the next generation of Dream Makers Dance Studios, as well as being a Choreographer for the Award Winning Competition Team as well. Jason Lai
Jason Lai began dancing at the age of 14 as a self taught freestyler. It wasn't until he joined Fr3sh Jrs that he began his training in choreography. As a dancer from the NJ dance community, Jason has been on Teams such as Fr3sh Jr's, the Mooks, and UFP, who have won and placed in competitions such as Pride, Elements, Defining Rhythm, Prelude, and the Beat Down in Toronto. Jason's passion for dance grew as he did which lead him to seek out representation in 2013 with Clear Talent Group. Being a dancer represented by CTG, Jason has danced for artist/companies such as Ariana Grande, Vouge, Nike, and America's Got Talent. Jason has had his fair share of experience in the dance industry, but there is still much more for him to achieve.
Kelly Jenkins
Kelly Jenkins, Former Owner/Director of the Fayette School Ballet, Director and President of Ballet Lafayette Inc.
Experienced teacher and choreographer, Kelly Jenkins, is currently teaching in Lawrenceville NJ. She was teaching at Dance Dynamics, Beth Barns Dance Studio and Anytime Fitness for several years. Mrs. Jenkins is the former owner of the Fayette School of Ballet for 14 years, and has over 30 years of teaching experience. She is also the former Director and President of Ballet Lafayette Inc. the only non-profit professional ballet company in Fayette County for 8 years. Mrs. Jenkins has choreographed many full length ballets such as "Sleepy Hollow", "Cinderella", "Alice in Wonderland", "Arabian Nights", "Peter Pan", Beauty and the Beast” "Frankenstein", "The Nutcracker" and other creative pieces. Mrs. Jenkins works with children ages 2 1/2 years old through adults of all technical levels and dance curriculum; specializing in Classical Ballet and Pointe technique training. Mrs. Jenkins was a dancer and choreographer for the Innovations Dance Company. Her experiences include the Dallas Ballet Theater, Dallas School of Art and the Greiner Arts Magnet in Dallas. She has also attended numerous master classes with many renowned teachers such as Nat Horne, Alvin Aliey, Merce Cunningham, Finis Jung, Al Gilbert, Brenda Bufalino and Gus Geiodiano. Mrs. Jenkins has worked with professional ballet companies and master teachers on full length Ballets such as the International Ballet Theater's "Nutcracker" in 1998 and 2002 directed by Vladimir Shumeikin and Artistic Director Alexander Boitsov. She continues to travel to NewYork City, New Jersey and Philadelphia to further her education and to meet other studio owners and company directors. Mrs. Jenkins was excited to teach at the 2006 International Dance Festival in Ladek Zdroj, Poland. Ballet Lafayette was one out of 3 companies chosen to represent the USA. Mrs. Jenkins students were chosen to perform at the festival and to take classes with teachers from around the world. Her teaching philosophy is to nurture her students and inspire them to grow techniquely and creatively.
LaToya Kenn'i James
LaToya Kenn’i James is the Owner and Artistic Director of Dream Makers Dance Studio located in central New Jersey. Since 2012, LaToya has been training male and female students between the ages of 2-18, some of which have gone on to tour nationally with Debbie Allen and Mariah Carey. As Dream Maker's finest, these students went on to be featured in national and international commercials as well as dance print advertisements. LaToya's love of the arts has sent her around the world dancing, teaching and performing. In 2010, she traveled to California where she won first place in the national television show on Oxygen Network called, Dance Your A** Off! She also traveled internationally to London, Bahamas and Bermuda, as well as nationally to New Orleans, New York, Philadelphia in order to train and teach dance. As a dancer, instructor, performer, choreographer and so much more, LaToya also enjoys providing dance instruction to the Trenton Education Dance Institute (TEDI).
LaToya Kenn'i James is a graduate of Howard University in Washington, DC, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications. LaToya studied Dance, Television Production, Radio/TV/Film, and has performed in dance and theatre for over 23 years. She studied at the ACTeen for Drama, Commercial and Improv, and holds several titles including NJ Junior Miss of Mercer County, Mercer County ACT-SO, Hal Jackson Talented Teen, All American Teen Model and All-American Model. As a former member of Danco 2 Philadanco Company, her dance training consisted of Tango, Cha Cha, Ballet, Pointe, Horton, Modern, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Tap, African, and Hip Hop. She's studied with names such as Tiana Brown, Brandon Henschel, Hope Boykin, Matthew Rushing, Kevin Iega Jeff, Ronald K. Brown, Elena Comendador, Ana Marie Forsythe, Fred Benjamin, Sheila Barker, Mia Michaels, Kim Bear, Pat Thomas, Carolyn Watson-Johnson and many others. She also received a full dance scholarship and studied with Alvin Ailey, NY, Philadanco, Dance Theater of Harlem, as well as the Watson Johnson Dance Theatre and the Howard University dance program. LaToya is also a first-place winner at the Apollo Theater in NY, and a NAACP-ACT-SO Gold Place Winner in NJ. LaToya has been honored and awarded the Joint Legislative Resolution as the Champion of DYAO and was also commended as a woman of strong character and exceptional determination resolved and agreed upon by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey for Service in the community through dance education.
LaToya constantly receives requests from various organizations offering scholarships and audition opportunities to the students of Dream Makers for programs such Breaking Barriers with Anthony Burrell from Dance Moms Summer Dance Intensive, Hollywood Dance Tours Los Angeles and many more. Due to LaToya's diligence, dedication and hard work, alumni and current students of Dream Makers have been awarded scholarship funding from numerous colleges and universities. LaToya's dream is to bring New York to New Jersey and give exposure to all the talented students of the greater Trenton and surrounding areas. Her passion and mission is to help make dreams come alive through the art of dance, and plans on sharing all her dance experiences with the students of Dream Makers Dance Studio as well as the amazing students of TEDI in hopes that they will strive hard to make their dreams come true.
